Tuesday I went to the gyno. Yuck.
I have a clean bill of health to start multiplying. A few things I didn't know till visiting him though is that it only takes 1 month, not two to get the birth control out of your system. If you work out, your heart rate can not exceed 180 because the increase blood flow is not good for the baby. Your diet should not change except drinking 4 glasses of milk a day. (Calcium) Blood type doesn't matter anymore. But my favorite is him saying "Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away" He said a lot of women put stress on themselves to get pregnant and it makes it more difficult. But,my second favorite advice from him is "You should have sex atleast every other day" Check.
LAnce has been so cute about all this. He really wants kids, even in Target after seeing 3 of them terrorize the store. That's love.

Work has been hasty. I work for a large corporation where everyone says this is the best place to work, and I'm the only that thinks it's the worse. It also sucks that your coworkers are dicks to you because you've been at the company 6 months to their 5 years and your title sounds more important.
Good news at least- my birthday is this month. Very excited. We're going to have a party at my house with kareoke and grill out. Should be fun, all is invtied. (veggies in aluminum foil and olive oil on the grill are f*cking amazing.)
and my much needed vacation. |

| Ugh. House work. |
[Sep. 2nd, 2006|04:58 pm] |
So.
We have an awesome house that we're fixing up.
Lance has been working hard. I have been working on a job site 8-6 so I don't feel as enthused to work on the house on a Saturday.
I'd rather spend time with my husband.
We go see a movie.
Lance is now upset that we didn't work on the house & is in a shit mood now.
Pisses me off.
Ugh. Men. |

| Give me back Hawaii. Now. |
[Aug. 17th, 2006|01:28 am] |
Being home sucks.
This 6 hour time difference and not being able to sleep right now sucks more.
Hawaii is not what I thought it would be....It was better.
For the first time in my life I saw a coconut tree and bananas on the actual tree. Yeah, that thrilled me. The weather was 85 degrees all week, and the winds were so strong it felt like 75. (I got the best tan, Woo hoo!)
So here's a breakdown of Hawaii.
FOOD For my vegan friends: Hawaii though filled with many, is not Vegan friendly. They consider eggs vegan, haha. Your best bet is to rent a condo like we had and cook for yourself daily. It's much more cost effective too, EVERYTHING is expensive!!!!
LU'AU's Is not what I thought it would be. I had this vision of 25 people sitting in a circle on the beach with music, a huge fire, some pig being burnt to a crisp on it and hula girls dancing with the tourist. Well, not exactly - it was 200 people you were sitting with after waiting in line for 1 hour (even though we came on time) at long tables with, a center stage, and the hula girls so far away. I wasn't too impressed. Although I do think everyone should go once....the fire dancer was amazing. (My nails, although I never bite them are practically gone now)
Sunset Cruises Awesome.
Snorkeling Was amazing!!!! I was asked if I ever have snorkeled before, I said yes....be prepared to model if so. OH! And bring lots of dramamine. I get sea sick so easily, I used the pressure point wrist bands and the dramamine. Anyhow...The fish were amazing. I kept saying "Cool, Cool" underwater. Our next sight to snorkel at was "Turtle Town" Holy hell, the turtles were HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE. I'm talking HUGE. I saw one that had to be atleast 4 feet long. They're amazing. I watched from the boat, Lance went out on this expedition and he got pissed. He was upset that people were royally disrespecting the turtles. They're coming up for air and are surrounded by 30 people for 1 tutrle. It was like a rat race for these turtles. You are to NOT touch them. I can't tell you how upset I got at tourists in Hawaii. If I lived there....I'd hate them. They are so disrespectful of the land there.
Surfing Get your equipment at "Boss Frogs" they're the cheapest with the best gear. Swim to the wave....not like me who swam away, haha. It's hard. Harder than snowboarding, I don't care what anyone says. I must've swallowed a pint of salt water that day. But if you do surf....and make it looks sooooooooo easy like everyone else...the waves are "the best".
Hiking This was by far my most favorite thing to do. We hiked through a bamboo forest, swam in waterfalls we found ourselves....jumped from them and dived into cool pools of water....it was breath taking. We hiked all through Hana, I highly recommend it above anything.
Fruit and Flowers Guavas are everywhere!!!! Hawaii has some of the best fruit and most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. Birds of Paradise grow like weeds! Plumeria is almsot every other tree (OMG, it smells AMAZING, not at all like the B&BW's lotion) There were Guavas everywhere....even in the Walmart parking lot. Pineapple is delicious. I've never had pineapple taste so perfect as the pineapple I had in Hawaii. Sugar cane and pineapples. RANT: There are sugar cane and pineapple everywhere. EVERYWHERE. You look to the left, pineapple, right, sugar cane, there is so much of it everywhere you look you'd expect to wake up with one in your ass. However....When going to the store and expecting to pay 50 cents, or $1 and some change for a pineapple or sugar....Prepare to shit yourself. Because the fruit is exported, and because the sugar cane is processed on mainland USA and sent back, Sugar is $3.00 for a small bag!!!! Pineapple is 5 bucks or more. I can get a pineapple in Ga for 2.
Shopping I did so much shopping preparing for this trip, I lost total interest in doing it in Hawaii (Go figure) I wasn't too thrilled with shopping in Hawaii because it was soooo expensive. Ok...for example...a necklace in Atlanta...nothing special...2 bucks....a necklace in Hawaii, nothing special...2389749328749 dollars....Okay...8 bucks. I suggest shopping at the ABC stores which are on every block (except for Hawaiian shirts...Which Walter, I nabbed you one!!! :)HAHA!
Haleakala Sunrise A MUST DO! Lance and I got there wayyyyy early and were tired of pushing through people to get to a spot so we decided to find some sort of trail and just hike upwards. It was pitch black and with what I called "meticulously placed rocks" everywhere to trip on. We finally reached the top and found a cliff to dangle our feet from. There was only 1 other couple up there, and that was it. It was so dark we used the flash of the camera to see how high we were sitting, and it still came out black. Anywho, the sunrise was the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen in my life. It was sooooo beautiful. Infront of you was the sunrise, behind you was the full moon....I can't describe how wonderful it was. As the sun came up, we found out where we were..... sitting on the crater of the volcano, HAHA! Haleakala is a non active volcano, but it was unreal to see it where we were and where the lava flowed from 200 years ago.
Well, it's wonderful to be home again. I have to work tomorrow - Blah. But I'll be thinking of blue skies, palm trees, and sitting by the pool.
Oh, and it feels great to be married. I can fart, pick my nose, cuss like sailor, pick my thong from my ass crack, yell at the TV, watch zombie movies, make unruly noises in the bathroom, take more than 15 minutes to get ready, use all the hot water, and guess what? He loves me.
G'Night all, I'm going to try and sleep once again...

| My boyfriend is awesome. |
[May. 5th, 2006|11:41 am] |
He's scoring me Shakira tickets. Don't laugh, she's super hot and really talented. (Not to mention has the body envied by women world wide) She's proportioned :)
Anyhow, I have a busy weekend ahead of me. We're tearing out the cabinets in the kitchen to order new ones, tearing out the brick for a door to the porch we're building outside the kitchen area. Our budget for the kitchen is going to be completely blown in a matter of seconds....cabinets are fucking expensive. Tonight is his sister's birthday, I got her a cute top and some trendy make up. We also have to shop for... My dad's birthday Chris (Sushi) David (his brother) and, both moms for mother's day. Screw shopping for X-mas, we need to save up our money for May birthdays!
In greater news, I lost 2 lbs....Yay! May not be a lot to you, but it makes all the difference when I wear jeans. (Must be my ghetto booty)
Have an awesome weekend! Loves alllll |

| I loves Mexicans. |
[May. 2nd, 2006|03:42 pm] |
It's weird all this talk about the Mexican workers and blah blah and me actually having to live it. I'm working with my father now in the "family business" which is building homes. Not crappy apartments and subdivisions without backyards, but homes that are 700,000 just to start standard. (God I wish I had that money) Anyhow, 90% of the workers are hispanic and all from Mexico. Yesterday with the strike....no one showed up. No one. There are 3 houses being built of the 18 lots....6 crews of atleast 5 workers or more and NO ONE showed up. Only the bosses of the crews just stopped by to see if they had a job Tuesday....ofcourse we said yes...One guy went as far as to say his entire crew of 6 people were sick....My father then coined the phrase "spanish flu" I'm not into a bunch of political wish wash and who said who or racism. It just amused me when they said, "You have no idea...you've never been to my family, my Mexico" "yes I do" "No" "I've been to Mexico three times, I think I may have some what of an idea...when was the last time you've visited my family in Russia?"

| I'm such a nosy girlfriend. |
[Apr. 17th, 2006|06:27 pm] |
So lately, Lance's ex has been e-mailing him a lot due to taxes (and though I'm not a jealous GF, this makes me nervous)
I have no reason to worry. I looked into an e-mail he sent his mom and here's what they said:
How sweet is this? God I love him. (read his mom's first)
From: Lance Sent: Monday, April 17, 2006 4:14 PM
To: Mary Giles Subject: Re: I've got your sore thoat
Yeah no problem. You should really thank Melissa, since she's the one that insisted that we go over to visit for Easter. She's a great person and I'm lucky to have her.
On 4/17/06, Mary
Glad to hear that...hopefully this will pass soon. I just hate the cotteny feeling in the head that goes with the sore-thoat. We really enjoyed having you and Melissa over for Easter dinner. It made the day very special for all of us. Thanks again for coming! Love, Mom |

| Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. |
[Apr. 4th, 2006|08:56 am] |
All my busy work is paying off.
I only have the cake & flowers to worry and gush over now. CAKES ARE EXPENSIVE!!!! For 3 layers is $550!!?!?! Ouch.
I'm still so excited to get married. Very!
Last night we went to Maggianos to see Heather. I sked her to be my last brides maid, she was awesome and very happy for us both. After we ate we headed home to relax, make some tea, and watch a little Aqua Teen before bed. I love Carl.
We'll see how today pans out. Only 3 more days of working in a hell hole! Wooo!!!! |

| I'm so tired :/ |
[Apr. 3rd, 2006|11:17 am] |
I've been so tired lately. Friday I went with my mom to try and find a cake and dress, decorations, flowers, etc. What a bust. I didn't accomplish anything but eating. Saturday I found my dress. It's gorgeous. I'm soooo proud of it.(and the bridesmaids dresses) Got the guest book, and all those other must haves. Got to check out where the reception will be held. didn't like it too much, but my mom said she'll fix it up for me. (Hopefully) Sunday we ate dinner with my parents and my grandparents. My grandfather had to put his 14 yr old boxer mastiff to sleep because he had cancer and could barely move. I felt so bad for him, they were so attached and it's always ahrd wen you have to put a pet down so it doesn't suffer. the poor dog couldn't swallow or eat because of the cancer masses in his neck. Awwww. this past sunday was the first time I saw my grandfather without a dog of any kind. I brought Walter up there to play with Barkely. They're so cute together. Walters 22 lbs vs. Barkely's 90 lbs....poor dog doesn't know his own size. Pug will be sleeping for 2 weeks straight now. We close on the house April 10th. I'm freaking out about what to do on saving money so we don't have to pay rent and a mortgage at the same (or atleast for just a month)and then paying for all the finishing that needs to go into the house as well. So much to do. so little time. Wedding, House, New job, Planning for all 3. I need a nap. |

| Going to the Chapel, and we're gonna get marriedddd |
[Mar. 27th, 2006|01:25 pm] |
I'm so excited! The wedding was up to August 5th because the location we wanted was already booked except that date. We're going to have it in Mountain Park. Reason 1- It's DAMN cheap! Reason 2- It's DAMN pretty.
I've been a busy bee looking for decorations, a place for our cake, and my god....the DRESS! My mom and I are going this weekend to find a dress. Wish Dawners was down here to help so we can be trying on dresses together! (and help me color coordinate the house:) All girlfriends are welcome to come this Saturday and join me in my dress debauchery. I'm having trouble thinking of who I want my bridesmaids to be. I'm afraid of girls getting pissed off at me if I don't ask them. This has actually been a much harder process than I thought. I think I'll just end up asking all family so I don't offend anyone (except maybe the maid of honor).
So many decisions....colors, dresses....I know I want to do whites and greens for the colors. But a cream or all white dress? In a local wedding mag there was a pretty dark scarlet red brides maid dress I may go looking for. the other thing is that it is customary for all bridesmaids to buy their own dress, so I have to find something reasonable and affordable. (I was thinking of just hving them rent it from a bridal company like David's bridal)
4 months to plan something that most people get a year in advance to do. I'm stressed :) And I have to get everything ready for the house too. (calling up cabinet folks, etc)
I did find out however, that his parents are paying for us to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon... So excited. I shall come back bronzed like a Greek God.
If anyone has any suggestions...let me know or e-mail me! |

| La la la life.... |
[Mar. 20th, 2006|10:11 am] |
Lance and I have been visiting multiple furniture outlets to get some appliances for our kitchen. I'm in love with stainless steel. (Which I've learned is quite expensive..)
Plain white fridge: $400 Stainless Steel Fridge (that looks super cool and I can't live without): $1,200.00
Our budget is to spend 5-6,000 for the kitchen (which is more difficult than I thought)
So we are both very busy with the house (hence why I haven't had time to write here)
Oh, All painters are welcome to help :) (As well as interior decorators and those with taste)
Anyhow, Lance and I are going to Florida June 3rd-11th. I am super excited! Thursday of this week, we're going shooting so if anyone is interested in coming, let me know. Apparently it's on an open range during the day (So I'm taking off work ofcourse) where we are going to shoot left over pumpkins from Halloween. Should be fun.
Love all,
Missy |

| I am soooo creeped out right now!!!! |
[Mar. 14th, 2006|12:32 pm] |
Ok, My boss is already super creepy...but today hit an all time high.
Creep 1. When cleaning up crap from his computer, I looked at his pages visited and found 3 to an escort service.
Creep 2. I found a used condom in his trash can. (EWWW)
Creep 3. He opened up a myspace account as a 19 yr old boy.
The last one really disturbs me. If it wasn't just us two in the office, I'd quit...so now I am looking for a new job. I can't work for someone like that. I think he used my computer and saw a link to myspace on my computer and tried to set up an account. He used it checking the company e-mail, which we both used (which is how I found out) I got his user name and password for it and signed in...once I saw the info I immediately deleted the welcoming myspace e-mail.
How seriously disturbing is that? And he has no idea I know all of this. |

| WE GOT THE HOUSE!!! |
[Mar. 13th, 2006|10:07 am] |
I am super excited! This means everyone is invited to the Mandatory house warming party once it's full remodeled. Which, let me tell you....is tough. I had everything laid out...what to do first if we got the home, how much money each thing would be, and now that we got it- I have no idea where to start. All I can think about are the unimportant things like what colors to do the rooms in. I'm such a girl. The kitchen is my domain so I have ordered *ahem* asked that it be finished first. We're going to refinish the floors, new baseboards, kitchen, new tile in the bathroom (because the off white cracked tile is seriously driving me crazy)And ofcourse -COLOR COLOR COLOR! I believe this may be a problem for Lance. I like very modern and colorful kitchens. I want to do the kitchen in red, ocher living room, green guest room, white bedroom, and I cannot think of a good color to go in the other guest room. Any suggestions? My lease is up in July, so we're going to bust ass to get everything finished or atleast up to our living standards by then. A lot of the stuff we're going to be doing ourselves (like painting, etc) so all help is welcomed :) Anyhow, this weekend I went out to eat with Lance's friends Pez and Amanda. Wow. That woman is a bitch. But I'll blame it on the fact she's 9 months pregnant and about to pop. We saw the movie "The Hills Have Eyes" which was better than the first to me (but I think I'm the only one that thought so) It reminded me a lot of "Wrong Turn" We got pizza before then where I had to answer life threatening questions like "Why don't you like the cheese on your pizza?" and "Ewww, why do you like olives?" Sunday, Bridget and I went shopping. After shopping around at the mall and I forget where else for a few hours, I ended up only buying Lady & The Tramp, Mouth wash, and Kitty litter (which, Bridget carried for me....the broad is strong) Anyhow, Happy Monday, Wish us luck. |

| This day could be worse. |
[Mar. 10th, 2006|09:16 am] |
It is Friday and not even lunch time and I seriously want to go home.
Driving to work I run over a 2x4 from a truck, couldn't get the license plate # because I had to pull over in fear of a flat tire. No. The whole front end of my new 06 Civic is royally fucked up. Thanks asshole. Babycakes in NY doesn't deliver, so I can't have any yummies that Dawn has been raving over.
AND, I have to stay here at work till 6:30 to cover someone, which means I won't get home till 7:30.
Someone entertain me this weekened, make it all better. Pretty please? |

| Stupid, Stupid house people!!! |
[Mar. 9th, 2006|09:27 am] |
We sent the sellers another contract with a counter price, and to make a decision by Friday. Wish us luck! (again)
Lately, I've really become a different person. A better person, more considerate, and understanding of other people...okay...just good friends. I still can't help but make fun of the usual passer-by in hideous clothes or make-up, but after arguing with a best friend of mine awhile ago, it kind of made me think about how sometimes I might have taken advantage of that person's friendship. It's just that when you know someone for a long time you become completely comfortable around them and say whatever, thinking they understand you automatically and where you come from. I never take myself seriously, or others, but I always take my friends seriously, especially ones that are closer to me than family. My whole point is not to assume.
Anyhow, I'm super excited that working out everyday is paying off. I've lost 5 pounds....Whoopy shit, right? that's a big difference in putting on your jeans every morning that were too tight before though!
No plans for the weekend....this is bad....someone go shopping with me. |
|
|
| We got the contract, but do we have the house?!?! |
[Mar. 6th, 2006|09:21 am] |
We sent the proposal over to our agent, who turned around a contract to us. I just left her a message because I have no idea if she showed the sellers our letter, or if we need to sum it up in contact and submit it to them. If anyone knows, e-mail me because I am super confused.
This weekend we went shopping for tea. I got up Saturday and wanted tea. Simple, right? Not at all. I shopped Kroger, Publix, etc to find some Jasmine tea- no avail. So while we were on Buford Hwy we went to the Asian Supermarket by Harmony. I didn't understand anything, or anyone- everything was Chinese, Japanese, or some other Orient. Lucky for me, one of the workers spoke english and pointed me to where they had tea. And Holy shit, did they have tea. Lance and I spent $30.00 in tea. My kitchen counter tops are full of tea. My favorites are the Pear and Jasmine tea. Went shopping with his little sister and her friend on Saturday too. I felt so weird. I've never really taken someone and their friend to the mall that was under 16 yrs old(and wasn't family). So I called up my mom like "What's the rules on this, do I stick with them, do I give them my cell number and let them roam, how does this work?" O'well, it was fun- and I managed to score a super cute shirt in Gadzooks (which I thought was closed). Sunday I slept till there was no tomorrow. Went out to eat with his family and then came home to sleep some more. Last week really exhausted me with work and all. There's only 2 of us in the office-myself and the owner (now that he fired a couple people). I am now doing 90% of the work, which is killing me, and is starting to make me feel like it's not worth the money. My mom sent my resume to her company to work in Accounting, so I may have a new job- WITH BENEFITS. Wish me luck on both the house and job! I need it! |

| 65 degrees!! |
[Mar. 3rd, 2006|09:20 am] |
Yes, ofcourse this means I'm in the usual tank top.
My contact in my eye is killing me, and what sucks is that I'm going to swim today at lunch (Somehow my silly ass can't keep my eyes closed under water)
Tomorrow Lance, John, and I are going to check out my hopefully future home. Saturday and sunday are going to be pretty relaxed. I want to spend some good quality time with friends this weekend, so if anyone wants some one on one time with me, LET ME KNOW TODAY. I really want to go to the park after looking over the house. Just to walk around, grab coffee, talk, and play on the swings like I was 5 again. (Yes, I still go down the slide, and no one can stop me!!!)
Work today is going to be super slow, so all text messages, calls, and e-mails are more than welcome.
Loves ya! |

| Soooooo happy!!!! |
[Mar. 2nd, 2006|09:43 am] |
I am super excited! We got the loan for the house!!! Yes! We're going to look it over again with my dad on Saturday for a quote on the electrical and then make an offer. My fingers are crossed they accept, and I am hoping, hoping, hoping that we get it! If so, everyone is invited...obligated...to come to the future house warming party!
Last night Lance and I went to R. Thomas. I LOVE THAT PLACE. And I've turned Lance onto their Vegan burgers. So good. It comes with eggless honey dijion mustard and greens, with a side (And their sides are seriously killer.) While at dinner I almost wanted to cry. He's been so super sweet lately it's maddening. It all started when he defended our relationship to a mutual friend of his and his ex's. The friend called at 6 in the fucking AM on a Monday. I wanted to shoot her. She called and was like "Call Josie, she hurts for you" his reply? "It's fucking 6 AM, I'm not calling her for anything" and hung up on her. (Lance +10 points)
He also said the sweetest thing yesterday that actually made me cry at the table. I was joking (nudge nudge, yeah right) with him saying "You're going to leave me and make babies with your ex" I got "the look". So I nudged further. "Do you still even think about marrying me, and our children, or our future together?" His reply? "Every day" Awww. (Lance +20 points) He said a bunch of other super sweet stuff, but that stuck out in my mind the most. I love him soooo much. I'm the happiest girl in the world. |

[Feb. 28th, 2006|09:26 am] |
Lance and I looked at the house yesterday (from the other side of the window) It was really nice! I was surprised. It had 3 bedrooms (one of which I'd make into a study) a full bath and a half bath. I can already see that I'm going to need to make changes to the bathroom. 1) Both are smaller than the bathroom in my apartment, and 2) They have this God awful robin egg blue tile that makes me wish I had a sledge hammer in hand everytime I walked in. We're both worried that all the electrical will have to be removed. It had a fuse box! Who still has those?!?! And in the bedroom the real estate agent and I were laughing and feeling like complete idiots becauseto turn on the light, there's no switch- It's a button! A BUTTON. How ghetto fabulous and old is that? The electric work would be over well 6 grand (but we may be able to take that off the asking price) The other problem I had with it? My favorite place. The kitchen. It has a super cute small kitchen, but again, because it's a 50's style home the washer and dryer are in the kitchen space and the fridge is just out int he open. I suggested to Lance to see if I can sell my brand new washer and dryer and use that money to buy a stackable washer and dryer unit and put it in one of the many coat closets in the home. I would then get a pull out dish washer and put the fridge where the washer was supposed to go since it already has a water connection. AND, to not lose cabinet space we'd put in a mini breakfast bar. **This is also a public announcement that if I do get the home I'm requesting the help and expertise of Miss Geary. ** I want the kitchen to be red. (ofcourse) Anyhow, I'll have more pictures this weekend of the entire home. I'll be heart broken if we don't get it, but we won't take it if we can't talk them down significantly in price considering the repairs we'd have to make. Lance and I already calculated an estimated 12,000 just to make it livable for us. (which is no problem considering we're going to be there for a few years) Anyhow, I'm hiring an assistant today. The first woman I called in for an interview is supposed to be here in 30 minutes. I completely forgot. And what am I wearing today? Sweat pants, tennis shoes, dry fit t-shirt, chipped painted nails (such a no-no in my book) and a ponytail. No idea whose impression is going to make more of an impact here, haha! |

[Feb. 27th, 2006|09:42 am] |
Friday I had an awesome time with some friends doing Kareoke at Chaplins. And have a few incriminating photos! haha! Saturday Chris went with Lance and I to the Japanese Aiki class (Where I got to take down 200 lb men in less that 3 seconds....Go ahead...Try me!) It was an amazing class, I learned a lot. Afterwords we grabbed some sushi, went home, and watched Family Guy in bed. I was most excited about Sunday. The house I have been peeking in the windows of for the past week, we have an appointment to see on the other side of the windows tonight :) I'm super excited!!!! The location is still pretty close to Atlanta, lots of restaurants, and has a park down the street within the neighborhood. The sad part of this all is that I already have "visions" of what to do with the house. Deck, paint, doors, kitchen work, tile, etc etc. Cross your fingers we get it! For some reason I am not capable of doing a simple thing as adding pictures here, so check out my myspace bulletin to see pictures of the home I'm drooling over. Hopefully it won't give my hopes up! |
